Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.\n\u2022 Promote store events and promotions: Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.\n\u2022 Resolve customer concerns: Address customer issues and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.\n\u2022 Communicate needs to management: Regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and any customer feedback in a timely manner.\n\u2022 Support team and company goals: Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\u2022 At least 16 years old\n\u2022 Available to work a flexible schedule\n\u2022 Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)\n\u2022 Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers\n\u2022 Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally\n\u2022 Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems\n\u2022 Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on- the-job training\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\n\u2022 Frequently operate cash register\n\u2022 Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet\n\u2022 Frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock\n\u2022 Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor\n\u2022 Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers.
