Job Description:\nThe Impact You\u2019ll Make in this Role\nAs a Production Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:\n\u2022 Supporting production by monitoring processes, ordering inputs, loading semi-finished materials, inspecting materials, and performing quality inspections\n...\nto release product\n\u2022 Operate automated production converting, assembly, and packaging equipment.\n\u2022 Monitor process, order inputs, load semi-finished materials, inspect materials, perform quality inspections to release product.\n\u2022 Operate equipment in safe manner.\n\u2022 Follow plant and department safety rules and practices.\n\u2022 Work closely with other operators, and service groups to optimize process including timeliness of product flow.\n\u2022 Monitor equipment and make required adjustments to maintain quality and desired output.\n\u2022 Computer use is required to run process operation.\n\u2022 Meet performance/output goals.\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\n\u2022 Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start)\n\u2022 Interested in and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled which includes working 8 to 12 consecutive hours per day on a weekly rotating shift (i.e. Week 1: 4pm-midnight, Week 2: 8am-4pm) or a fixed midnight shift (i.e. midnight-8am), or a fixed 4 Crew shift (i.e. 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am).\nApplicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\n\u2022 Ability to operate computers to run process improvements.\nWork location:\n\u2022 Aberdeen, SD\nTravel: Does not include travel\nRelocation Assistance: Is not Authorized\nMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).\nCollaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World\nChoosing where to start and grow your career has a major impact on your professional and personal life, so it\u2019s equally important you know that the company that you choose to work at, and its leaders, will support and guide you.
